Propane Service Technician / Bobtail Driver

We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Propane Service Technician who is also qualified to operate a propane bobtail for deliveries as needed.

Position Summary

The Propane Service Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, inspecting, and maintaining propane systems and equipment while ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards. This position also includes operating a propane bobtail to make residential and commercial propane deliveries as needed.

Essential Job Duties

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial propane systems and appliances.
• Perform gas leak checks, pressure tests, and system safety inspections.
• Install and exchange above-ground and underground propane tanks.
• Diagnose and resolve customer service issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Safely operate a propane bobtail to deliver propane to customers when needed.
• Complete required service and delivery documentation accurately.
• Follow all DOT, NFPA, and company safety regulations.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Provide outstanding customer service while representing the company professionally.
• Participate in on-call emergency service as required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred or the ability to obtain them.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in propane service, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• Must have a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
